ABOUT JAMES BRANCH
James Branch is a husband, father, small business owner, and proven conservative leader who has called Royse City home for more than 20 years. Raised in a blue-collar family, James learned early the values of hard work, faith, and perseverance. His father worked 42 years for the Union Pacific Railroad, and his mother built a career in banking and title services. Those lessons shaped James into the man and community leader he is today.
In 2001, James and his family moved to Royse City, where all three of his sons — Harley, Harper, and Christopher — graduated from Royse City Independent School District (ISD). During their time in school, James volunteered as a coach for Little League football, basketball, soccer, called games for the district, and remains active in the varsity and middle school programs today.
James’ service to the community has been extensive. He didn’t just watch his community grow, he helped to build it. For more than two decades, he has served on the Royse City Parks & Recreation Board, the Planning & Zoning Commission (including as Vice Chair and Chairman), and the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In 2009, he was elected to the Royse City Council, where he has also served as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem and Mayor Pro Tem. He currently serves as Secretary of the Rockwall County Emergency Services Corporation and as a member of the Rockwall County Transportation Consortium. His record is clear: he’s helped deliver new police and fire stations, parks, a new city hall, a Senior Citizens Center, and the long-awaited sports complex. He also delivered all these improvements while maintaining a low tax rate.
Outside of public service, James is a successful small business owner of more than 25 years, operating companies that provide good jobs right here in Texas. His experience balancing budgets and growing businesses gives him a commonsense perspective too often missing in government.
Now, James is ready to bring his experience and vision to the Rockwall County Commissioners Court. He’s running to fix our failing roads, stand with law enforcement, and preserve the quality of life that makes Precinct 4 a great place to live.
James and his wife of more than 10 years, Katie, make their home in Royse City. They attend Lakepointe Church and enjoy riding their motorcycles together.
